With the upcoming release of Ste Essence - Seek Bromance ft Vicky Jackson on 26th April. Team Fidget caught up with Paul Morrell for a little chat.

First of all, thank you for contributing to the remix pack. How does it feel now it's about to be released? You must be excited.
To be honest, it’s a track I have always loved, and I think Vicky Jackson has done a brilliant version of Amanda Wilson's original vocal. It’s a great track so should do well.

Tell us a bit about you ?
I am a Coventry based DJ, Producer & Remixer. I have worked with all kinds of amazing DJs / Pop Stars & Producers. I have gigged for almost 20 years and have been supported on BBC Radio 1 by artists including Diplo, Judge Jules and Scott Mills.

What projects do you have going on at the moment?
I have just signed to a new manager and have so much going on at the moment. I am currently working on high profile remixes and have just had tracks signed to some huge international labels. As well as this I have gigs in The UK, Finland and Ibiza planned for the summer.

If you could have a beer with anyone past or present who would it be and why?
Madonna or Princess Diana – I think they would be amazing women to know, and I would have a fair few questions for them.

Favorite track past or present
One of my all-time favourite house records is ‘Stringer’ by Riva. It’s just a great driving house record that works well in any set, and has been one of my go to tracks for years.

What is the most rock n roll thing to have happened to you to date?
Being invited to Boy Georges 50th Birthday Party and hanging out with a load of 1980s celebs. It was pretty cool and I got to meet icons such as Holly Johnson, Jocelyn Brown etc.

If you could have a super power, what would be?
Invisibility – I think it would be very useful indeed!!

What do you do to get away from music?
I’m a lecturer, although I’m still heavily involved in music in this role too, so I suppose I’m never really “away” from music.

What moment do you remember clearest from the last 10 years?
There are so many to be honest. I have been lucky enough to have some extreme highlights in my career. I think the event I held with Paul Oakenfold at The Coventry Skydome Arena in 2007 was up there with the defining moments. It was so stressful & I didn’t sleep for about 3 days before hand.

Anything else you want to say? Any shouts?
Just that I am looking forward to another great year in music, and hope to be working with the Fidget team throughout 2016.

Update: As we publish, we found out that Paul's mix of Seek Bromance entered this week's Gaydio Dance Chart at number 15.
